FLO launches new service providing access to electric vehicle charging in commercial and residential buildings

FLO, the company behind Canada’s largest network of electric vehicle charging stations, is delighted to unveil its innovative new service for commercial and residential buildings: turnkey charging solutions delivered as a monthly package.

This new offering enables property owners and managers to offer access to EV charging stations to their customers, employees or residents in exchange for a simple recurring monthly payment.

Purchase and installation fees for a single charging station in commercial or multi-residential contexts can cost up to several thousand dollars. The model introduced by FLO makes this financial decision easier by turning capital expenditures into a more flexible operating expense.

All-inclusive service

With the FLO charging plan, property owners and managers enter into a flat rate agreement for electric vehicle charging services. FLO takes care of charging station installation, service management, maintenance, station upgrades and user support.*

This turnkey service delivers peace of mind to property owners and managers, whether they run workplaces, businesses, apartment buildings, condominiums, commercial buildings, fleet parking lots, etc. They maintain control over access rules and fees for their stations while earning a share of revenue generated by the service.

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for building owners and managers to install charging stations for their tenants, customers and employees. This initiative is one more way FLO is meeting the rapidly growing needs of Canada’s electrical vehicle drivers—whether at home, at work or on the go—with a solution that reflects building managers’ realities and challenges,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO’s President and CEO.

Perfectly suited for condominiums

FLO’s new charging plans are also ideal for installing charging stations in condominiums.

FLO installs and manages a charging infrastructure that allows each co-owner to subscribe to the service for a monthly fee—the same way they can subscribe to cable or internet services. This way, each driver can access a dedicated charging station in his or her personal parking space, with no impact on other residents who do not require the service.

Integrated with Canada’s most reliable electric vehicle charging network

All FLO charging stations installed under a charging plan agreement become part of Canada’s largest vehicle charging network. FLO operates more than 4,000 public or semi-private charging stations from coast to coast; all are monitored in real time, 24 hours a day.

“Now managers, property owners and their customers or tenants can benefit from the convenience, quality service and reliability of the most trusted network in the country,” added Louis Tremblay.
